By the time we toss the lines in Thunder Bay, our Dylan can be defined as an accomplished sailor, ukulele-alien, football player, and certified scuba diver <add video link>. Our little man never stops amazing us! We are about to turn his entire world upside down and he is fortunately as excited as we are! In our endless research leading up to this trip we know there is a ‘sweet spot’ when it comes to the age for kids adapting to life on a boat. With Dylan being 11 he’s not yet swept up into the social connections that are difficult to break.  He does have many special relationships that we will do our best to continue but we know there are so many like-minded sailing kids that he will soon be connecting with.

Dylan will be a hands on sailor, my sous-chef in the galley, a boat-schooling student, an eager scuba diver and a new friend to kids from sailing families we will search out along the way. We can’t wait to take Dylan on this adventure and it will be so interesting to see how all the cultural experiences and life on the ocean will play a part in the man he someday will be!
